IPYG Peace Walk in San Francisco

In May 25th, the IPYG SF Branch held a successful peace walk in a neighborhood of a suburb of San Francisco, which received and attracted many positive attentions from the neighborhood. In addition, different religious leaders were invited to speak at the peace walk event, in order to exaggerate that peace is a hope that all religions strive for. The motive of this event was to cause awareness of international peace and to commemorate the first anniversary of the Declaration of World Peace.

Surprisingly, in the last 3500 years world peace existed only for 230 years, which means over 90% of history of humanity included war. We hope to see the Declaration of World Peace would become an initiative to increase the global community's hope for peace and to unite once again under peace.
